About Me

I started writing stories in fourth grade, when I started homeschooling. Tucked away in a tiny den with bookshelves on the walls, I wrote because I was bored. I quickly found that my characters became best friends to me and my settings were all my imagination. I began to write fantasy, which was what I read the most of, and I've been hooked on the genre since.

I've come a long way. I'm now twenty-one and have my first short-story accepted to be published later this year in an anthology. I have two more polished shorts I'm looking for markets for. After I get a few shorts published, I'll be looking into finding an agent for my novel.

I love reading. I was the kid who checked out 40 books at the library and read them all in two weeks. I typically read YA novels with a preference for YA fantasy. I started reading adult fiction (urban fantasy/paranormal romance/some horror) last year.

I also love animals. I showed dogs in 4-H dog club for 7 years and placed in the top-3 placements every year. Currently, we have 5 dogs, 6 cats, 3 chickens and various fishtanks.

I live in Northeastern Indiana with my family (both blood and stepfamily) and our pets.
